Early Intervention Program

This program caters for a wide variety of challenges for children between the ages of 18 months to 7 years. After an initial assessment of the child’s basic learning and language skills, an individualised program is drawn up focussing on the child’s deficit skills.

The method of teaching

We teach the way your child learns. The instructions we give, the materials we use, our teaching method, are all tailored to your child’s needs creating the best learning environment for them.

The environment

We arrange the physical environment to enhance your child’s learning experience and accelerate their learning.

Our Educational Therapists

We have a high staff ratio to children, allowing each child to have one on one teaching time with their various Educational Therapists.

Programs we offer:

Our all inclusive and progressive therapies are a specialized program focused on your child’s individual needs and challenges. We use a very active teaching and learning process that is purely driven by goals and outcomes.

This program includes:

  • From 1 therapist to 1 child, to classes of 1:5, the therapies are optional, its tailored made to each child.
  • An individualised program that is built on the assessed needs of the child
  • Learning through play and practice in multiple settings
  • All learning is tracked via data and the students’ progress is recorded
  • Weekly supervision by case consultants
  • Parent feedback and training them on skill teaching and behaviour management at home.
  • We offer ongoing support at home for parents that request it.

We offer home-based behaviour programs. We will find you a therapist and train them in our behaviour strategies.

To ensure the quality of the programs are carried out we require a minimum of 4 hours per month of regular supervision as well as daily data graphs sent to us to ensure the changes to your child’s program can be made as soon as the need arises.

At Triad Schools, we are aware of the growing need to assist children whose current schooling does not accommodate for their learning and behavioural challenges.

We visit your child’s current school (whether nursery or similar mainstream facility) to carefully assess them and identify any problem areas in their learning program.  Within mainstream schools, there is usually not enough (or any) attention placed on your child’s challenges. Triad Schools seeks to identify this problem quickly, and intervene in those crucial years of your child’s early developmental stages.

Once we’ve gathered all the relevant information, we then begin tailoring a unique learning program for your child which works in accordance with their current schooling programs. We arrange hourly afternoon sessions at our learning centre (or at your child’s current schooling facility) where we start the ball rolling on the program we’ve created for your child.

The end goal of these therapy sessions is to ensure that your child is proficient at meeting their current academic demands, and to make learning both enjoyable and easy for them. Our programs are all inclusive, addressing key areas in your child’s development such as: language skills; fine motor skills; and more.

In addition to the above, we also equip your child’s school with this learning program and provide their teacher/s with training in every aspect. Our trainers are always available to assist and training workshops can be arranged at our facility as well.

Some of our teaching tools? Our goal is to ensure success and a positive learning experience for all our children.

Deficit Skills

The aim of the programme is to teach deficit skills. What prevents a child from learning and mastering a skill?

Reiforcers

We are big on reinforcers, not only does it increase the likely occurrence of your child being motivated to participate, it makes learning FUN! Our children love it and making learning a positive experience. We do not make use of punitive measures.

Errorless learning

Our focus is on teaching and demonstrating, giving your child the opportunity to practise and master a skill before they are expected to complete the skill independently.

Baby steps

All our skills are broken into smaller manageable steps, taught, and then chained together into a more complex sequence of behaviours.

Visuals

All our lessons are supported by visual cues, making learning not dependent on the understanding of language, allowing all our children access to information.

Triad Schools
